Community at Schlosspark Boll East of Bern at the edge of a magnificent 18th century park, developers have designed and built a spatially exciting residential area characterized by simple cross-wall construction, deep floor plans and stepped living units. Atelier 5 In 1955 Erwin Fritz, Samuel Gerber, Rolf Hesterberg, Hans Hostettler und Alfredo Pini founded the Atelier 5 architectural office. Înitial plans for collaboration were developed in the office of Hans Brechbühler, where four of the five founders worked between 1953 and 1955. A major influence on the young architects was the Swiss-born architect and painter Charles Jeanneret, also known as Le Corbusier, whom they admired for his professional ethics and work. |
